MMS generates a unique identification for each item ( reagent box , consumable , etc.) and tracks the movement of this item in the organization till consumption on analyzers or consumed manually and calculates the efficiency of use of this specific item , then calculates the Item Utilization Index IUI to compare the actual consumption efficiency versus the planned consumption numbers.

MMS uses Global Trade Item number (GTIN) of each item to generate the internal unique number for each item.

No servers are needed , MMS is a cloud system pre loaded with 85%  items used in the diagnostic industry.
